There is a lot of very thorough eating and health information in this book. I believe everyone should read it whether they need to lose weight or not. He has hit the nail on the head here. A very smart doctor who knows his stuff when it comes to nutrition. Thank you Dr. Perricone.

I purchased this book because I tried everything to get rid of that stubborn fat I had on my belly and top of my hips and my back. I tried several other diets but they did not work for me. I am not overweight but have a slowing metabolism (I think) as I am coming up to 40 and have those problem areas. I wanted to lose 10-15 pounds for summer. I have to say, I am on day 7 of the diet and it DOES work for weight/fat loss. I have already notcied a nice reduction of belly fat and my pants are very loose. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GREAT, BUT NOT JUST FOR WEIGHT LOSS
I've maintained a low carb diet for many years to deal with diabetes as well as some other issues. The Perricone weight loss diet is not just healthy for weight loss, but for improving health, in my opinion. It is a lower carb type of eating plan, but it has an emphasis on eating foods that contribute to longevity. It's anti-inflammatory and it's excellent for bringing blood sugar under control as well. For me it's proved to be a fantastic resource and a healthy lifelong diet.
